Compass P is Pepita’s six foal, second filly and fourth Indoctro foal. A full sibling to the #1 Yearling in the Nation during the 2006 KWPN-NA Keuring Tour Compass shows much promise and exemplifies why this outstanding cross has been so successful for us!
Incredibly athletic, Compass is a long lined modern type. With a lovely sloping shoulder and powerful hind end she likes to show off her well muscled frame displaying three fantastic uphill gaits. A real attention seeker it is her unflappable nature that makes her stand out! Like all of Pepita’s offspring Compass from the start is more of a lap dog, she loves to be groomed, will happily pick up all four feet and allow you to show sheen her entire body with great ease. Compass soaks up any attention that comes her way and is so trusting she will often select a spot to lay down as close as she can to rest her head or entire body in your lap, this is then followed by loud snoring with grunts whilst dreaming and running in her sleep. She truly has the most amazing personality with a lovely expression in her kind eye and elegant head.
Compass’s pedigree represents the best of the best loaded with generation after generation of legendary jumpers. In early 2007 with a jumping index of 140 Compass’s sire, the extraordinary ‘Preferent’ KWPN stallion Indoctro, was honored as the USEF jumping sire of the year. Indoctro is also 3rd on the German list of jumper sires and holds the #2 spot in the Holstein Studbook.
The KWPN approved stallion VDL Sarantos is the full blood brother to Compass’s dam Pepita S. Sarantos is without question one of the best performing and promising young jumping horses in Holland. Sarantos was awarded the title of ‘Best Future Stallion’ at Zwolle, he won the KWPN Stallion Competition in 2005/2006, won the Stallion Competition of Hengelo, two times winner of the Stallion Competition at Zuidbroek, won the Twente Cup at Saaveld and also won the 1.30/1.35 jumping at Wierden. His successful international debut includes many winning rounds at the following young horse classes: Gera, Valkenswaard, Zuidlaren and Weirden.
We look forward to watching Compass grow up and progress on to a successful show career with her new owner Rosalynd Bimm. Rosalynd fell in love with Pepita while visiting our farm, purchased Compass in-utero and patiently waited for her arrival. While Rosalynd only wished for a live healthy foal, she secretly had hoped for a filly. There is no question Rosalynd and Compass share a special life long bond it is very apparent watching them interact and play, what a joy they are to watch!
