Super friendly, Elcho has a fantastic outgoing personality making him so easy to work with. A tall leggy colt with supple uphill gaits he is a dressage powerhouse, very handsome and eye catching!
His sire Johnson is a son of the ‘Preferent’ stallion Jazz who performed at grand prix level dressage. Johnson was the overall champion of the KWPN stallion show in 2005, he placed very well in both the performance test at Oldenburg and Ermelo. Johnson is in the top ranking of the KWPN stallion competition of 2006-2007. In 2007, Johnson was placed second at the stallion competition and the PAVO-CUP to finish 6th place at the World Championships in Verden. In early 2008, Johnson won the final of the KWPN stallion competition at M-level with a super score of 91 points! At the 2009 KWPN Stallion Competition Finals Johnson received a 9 for his canter and showed much balance in his half passes placing 2nd overall.
Elcho’s dam, Odette N, an imported ‘Keur’ mare by the KWPN ‘Keur’ stallion Houston placed in the TOP-TEN for her IBOP score with the KWPN. During the 2008 KWPN Keuring Tour, Odette’s eldest daughter Zolette P [Prestige x Houston] successfully passed the Dressage IBOP test and was awarded ‘Keur’ by the KWPN jury who commented on her super-suppleness with a great work ethic stating that she showed very well!
