Born ready to take on the world Flex is quite the character and without question one of the most self confident foals we have ever worked with, there is no stopping him. He is just so strong, well balanced and flexible we just had to name him Flex!
Dam of Flex is our imported ‘Keur’ mare Zabina P by the famous ‘Keur’ dressage sire Cabochon. Cabochon's offspring are renowned for their movement, workability and above all, their generous and reliable character showing to the dressage world the fantastic inheritance he has given them. Ridden by Canadian Dressage Team Member and Pan-Am Silver Medallist, Diane Creech, Zabina successfully completed the IBOP mare test with marks of 8.0 for trot and 8.5 for canter, she was crowned Champion of the DG Bar Cup for four-year olds. The KWPN jury commented on her modern exterior and desirable type awarding her with the much sought after Keur predicate. Grand-dam Jeldina ‘Keur Sport (Dressage)’ is a daughter of the leading dressage sire Flemmingh ‘Preferent’. Jeldina was champion of the Friesian central selection in Drachten and was referred to the UTV. She successfully competed on the ZZ level Dressage tour in Europe to earn her Sport (Dressage) predicate with the KWPN. This mareline consistently produces quality sport horses for the international arena.
The fantastic dressage stallion Prestige VDL formally ridden by Dutch Dressage Team Member Edward Gal is the sire of Flex. Prestige was Champion of the Stallion Test in Sweden at the age of three, with the following points for the basic gaits: 8, 8 and 10. Almost 100% Holstein bred dressage Stallion, Prestige displays an amazing front end and powerful gaits.
Prestige’s sire, Olympic Silvano N, was not only a star of the Dutch Olympic team, but was previously a successful Grand Prix jumper. On the dam side of Prestige's pedigree we find Goodtimes, by Nimmerdor. Goodtimes is well known for throwing big movement and a very powerful jump.
