Guru’s Dam Rumpole Prima is a daughter of the prolific ‘Preferent’ KWPN stallion Olympic Ferro. Rumpole has produced several First Premium foals and KWPN-NA Top-Five award winners including our ‘Keur’ mare Beyond P! In 2009, Beyond held three top placements on the prestigious KWPN-NA Top-Fives List; 2009 Reserve Champion Jumper Mare, 2009 Champion IBOP Jumper and the 2009 Champion Iron Spring Farm Cup for 3-Year old Jumpers!
Sire Balou du Rouet, Oldenburg silver medalist of 2005, is one of the best German horses of his age group. Equipped with maximum elasticity in his gaits, he completed an excellent Stallion Performance Test awarded with the top marks of 9.5 and 10.0 for jumping by the ‘foreign’ judges. He has continued his sporting career in supreme style, winning several classes judged on style and ability up to “M level”. He won the final qualification at the German Young Horse Championships with the top score of 9.2 and in the final was one of the four best approved stallions in Germany.
Guru’s grandsire Baloubet du Rouet, was one of the most successful jumping stallions on the international stage earning an Individual Gold Medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, three-times World Cup Champion in a row and winner of many Grand Prix’s. Great grandsire Galoubet is son of the great stallion Almé.
On the dam’s side, Balou du Rouet is directly related to the founder of the bloodline “Cor de la Bryere” from Holstein through Rantzau. The similarity can be seen in Balou du Rouet’s jumping style and ability. His stunning dam Georgia is by the increasingly popular Contender son, Continue. Once again, Balou du Rouet emphasises his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement with numerous foals at many different auctions. His first crop of youngsters confirmed their quality at the approvals; one of his sons out of a Sandro mare was the most expensive premium stallion at the Oldenburg Approvals in Vechta.
Bred to excel in the upper level jumper arena, Guru’s modern long lines combined with his uphill build easily showcase his very elastic supple gaits and tremendous athletic ability!
