Val d’Isere’s sire, Atlantic, has placed several times in many Grand Prix and World Cup qualifiers. He was not only Champion of the Budeschampionat for six year old jumping horses as a youngster, but now competing and placing at Grand Prix. He was 2nd in the Sires of the World in Lanekn, 2nd in Gera and 2nd in Villah. The dam of Atlantic is the full sister of the sire Lord Z. Next to that we find a lot of proven sires in the sire line such as: Accord II, Lord, Nimmerdor, Farn, Amor and Marco Polo.
His dam is the ‘Keur’ mare Nibalia, who comes out of the famous Balia-line. This line has also brought the following horses: Korenbloem, Pybalia, Nirmette, Enorm, Obalia JPP and First Choice.
Val d’Isere received an 8 for his take-off, technique and ability and an 8.5 for his scope during his stallion test.
