Wellington’s sire is the 'Preferent' stallion Nimmerdor and in his mare line we find Lucky Boy xx. Both stallions are recognized as the best available sires for show jumping with offspring like: Calypso, The Freak, Victor and Medrano.
His dam, the 'Keur Preferent' mare, Patty, produced another approved stallion: Elberton and the National Championmare: Haciënde.
Wellington was reserve champion of the stallion testing in 1983 and went on to place 3rd in the National stallion competition in 1985, 2nd in the 1987 competition, and 1st in the stallion competition category C. He also starred in dressage at Z-level and jumped nationally. He earned his 'keur' predicate by siring many 'Ster' and 'Keur' mares, and approved stallions like: Emilion, Farrington, Glennridge and Kevekko (USA).
He has sired many international show jumpers like: VDL Jupiter, Jerome, SP Deka and What a Game. Wellington has also sired the top dressage horses such as: Bolvorms, Ceylon and Luxaflex. Wellington is an all around exceptional breeding stallion.
