The KWPN jury had this to say about Beyond, “Bred and owned by Prima Equestrian, a beautiful type, she showed that she was not just another pretty face. Jury notes were good canter rhythm and use of the hind leg in movement. In jumping she was attentive, powerful, careful and showed the ability to adjust herself forward. Earning 8.0’s for reflexes, technique, attitude and talent for 1st place to receive the neck ribbon and cooler for the ISF Cup, first place in the Top-Fives for jumper IBOP and first place in the Top-Fives for ISF Cup for 3-Yr-Olds. To top all that- she is the first “Jumper Direction” mare to earn her Keur predicate as a 3-Yr-Old! Looks like Prima has added a super home-bred (to include the all-important xx blood in the pedigree) to their mare base.”

Lineage Sire:

Beyond’s sire is the prolific Preferent KWPN stallion Olympic Ahorn. Ahorn is descended from the famous Holstein family 242, and is related to Joost, Alcatraz and Locarno.

His dam M. Hyazinthe Prestatie, a German State premium mare, produced four approved stallions and three International show jumpers.

Olympic Ahorn’s sire, Nimmerdor also competed successfully in World Cups, Grand Prix and forfeited his place at the Olympics in order to fulfill his stud requirements.

Nimmerdor produced over 50 approved stallions and over 60 progeny who have competed at International level in sport. He is approved by almost every sport horse and warmblood breed society and has been awarded Preferant status by the KWPN which is the highest possible award for stallion recognition. Farn has also produced many top horses and is the damsire of Geoff Billington’s famous gelding Virtual Village It’s Otto.

Ahorn competed at the top international level, consistently placing in World Cups and Grand Prix competitions.
His results are extensive and include: 9th Amsterdam, 7th Geneva, 6th Mechlin, 2nd The Hague, 4th s’Hertogenbosch, 4th Zuric, 5th Hickstead and in 1993 he was the international 1.40m stallion champion.
He represented the Netherlands in Nation’s Cup competitions and was short-listed for the Barcelona Olympics, which earned him the prefix ¨Olympic¨.

Ahorn’s offspring continue the success with a number of progeny competing at International level. These include: Tinto, Feisal, Eleva, Anadolu Foxfire, Nissan High Valley Z who was Dutch Champion and placed at Grand Prix, Gerwin, Smiley, Australie 2000 winning at Grand Prix level and top seven year old in Austria, VDL Miss Ahorn, Dublin 3, Stella, Grandriver, Jerremy, V&L Chanel who has won and placed numerous times at Grand Prix competitions, Greco, Hendo, Furore, Giny, Hattrick, Ivor, Iron and Ursula XII to name a few.

Ian Millar’s 2004 Athens Olympic mount Promise Me’s damsire is by Olympic Ahorn . Olympic Ahorn is also the sire of Feizal with Mario Deslauriers , Eurocommerce Geneve who placed 10th at the 2003 World Cup Finals and Iron who represented Italy in the 2000 Olympics.

A fantastic producer of broodmares Ahorn is the sire of European Champion mare Helena, reserve European Champion Korenbloem, Dutch Champion mare Haciende who was also Champion at the 1997 stallion show in Den Bosch, Firette who was a five times UTV qualifier and Geminka Keur who is the dam of Dutch dressage star Kelvin. At the 1996 World Championships for young horses in Lanaken, Ahorn was the only KWPN stallion to have two progeny placed, Icamorka and Iron. He is also the sire of Neckar, the top priced horse at the 1998 Equilibra Challenge auction who sold for high price as a three year old.

Ahorn was granted Preferent status from the KWPN in 2001 and is the sire of ten approved stallion sons including: AK High Valley Z, High Valley’s full-brother, Noble Boy, Furore, Ohorn and Hattrick. Ahorn had four approved grandsons, including Kelvin (by Flemmingh).

The famous daughter of Ahorn, Ursula XII (Papageno) carried Scott Brash to 3rd place in the 2014 World Cup final in Lyon and in 2016, the pair won the Rolex Grand Prix of Calgary. In 2017, Ursula returned to competition, with a Grand Prix win in Doha.

Mareline:

Beyond’s dam, Rumpole Prima as a three year old was ranked #5 in the nation’s Top Ten list for her high conformation score during the 2002 KWPN-NA Keuring tour. She was used as example of perfect modern conformation by the KWPN jury at the Keuring she attended.

Rumpole’s sire the prolific Preferent KWPN stallion Olympic Ferro, competed at the 2000 Olympics and assisted his team in achieving a team silver medal, with an individual score of 74.92%. In 2002, Olympic Ferro once again had the highest scores on the Dutch Olympic team. Ferro is renowned for consistently achieving high scores for piaffe and passage.

As a three year old Ferro was champion of his performance test at Ermelo. He achieved 1st out of 30 with a final score of 84 and the outstanding results of: 6.5 walk, 8.5 trot, 8.5 canter, 8.0 for riding type, 8.5 jumping with rider, 8.5 free jumping, 8.5 cross country jumping, 9.0 for character, 9.0 for stall behavior and 9.0 for training report.

Ferro’s sire Ulft, is a son of the great Le Mexico, who is listed 10th on the jumping index with 142 points. Le Mexico carries Furioso xx blood, which brings value to any pedigree. Ferro’s dam, Brenda, is a daughter of the Holsteiner, Farn, who is listed sixth on the jumping index with 146 points. Farn’s son Nimmerdor, is listed second on the jumping index with 155 points.

In 2000, Olympic Ferro sired the champion of the three year old stallions at the KWPN stallion selections in Den Bosch. The following year in Den Bosch, Ferro produced nine young stallions selected for the second round, two finished in the top ten, one of which achieved the highest price at the select sale and the other was reserve champion at the stallion show. The champion three year old mare at Ermelo in 2000 was an Olympic Ferro daughter. In 1998 Ferro was crowned KWPN Horse of the Year, he achieved the title of Keur in 2000 and was awarded the highly coveted Preferent in 2003 at the age of 16. Ferro currently has eleven approved stallions with the KWPN and many other approved stallions outside the Netherlands.

In addition to their dressage excellence, Olympic Ferro’s offspring also make exceptional jumpers. During his competitive career Olympic Ferro, was consistently in the #1 spot on the BCM World Stallion Rankings for dressage. Ferro is affectionately known as the “Black Pearl” of the Netherlands, the KWPN are justifiably extremely proud of this fabulous stallion. He can be relied upon to produce beautiful, talented offspring of the highest quality, with fantastic top-lines, elegance and presence. There is little question that Olympic Ferro will continue leaving his mark in the history of the KWPN long after his untimely death in 2005.

Beyond’s grand-dam, Justanotherdottie “Dottie”, a jockey club registered TB, was approved by the KWPN for breeding and has produced many successful sport horses in both the dressage and jumper rings. Dottie stood at the prestigious Iron Spring Farm in PA for many years and was part of the Iron Spring Farm world famous breeding program. Dottie brings to Beyond’s pedigree proven TB blood which is much sought after and desired in today’s modern KWPN horse.
