Pepita-S

Pepita-S is a Elite, D-OC KWPN mare imported to our farm in 2001. Pepita’s breeder in Holland, family Van Straaten, holds a high spot on the WBFSH world ranking for sport horse breeders.

As a three year old, Pepita completed the IBOP test in Holland, she scored an amazing: 8 for walk, 8 for trot and 8 for canter, this was the top score at the large Keuring she attended awarding her the predicate Keur.

Pepita’s famous dam line is loaded with international level jumpers, her grand-dam and great grand-dam both jumped at the highest levels of the sport. From this dam line are the KWPN stallions Chance (Heartbreaker) and It’s a Dream (Toulon). Pepita’s dam Haroom T Ster, Prestatie is also the mother of the the full blood sibling to Pepita, the KWPN approved stallion VDL Sarantos.

Since 2004 Pepita’s magical offspring have been honoured with top rankings at their KWPN keurings earning many awards and spots on the prestigious Top-Five list.

KWPN-NA Top-Ten List Free Jumping

The pedigree of Emilion exemplifies performance. His Keur, Preferent, IBOP-A dam, Ramirha, is a daughter of the full-sister of the Holstein legend Lord. Emilion is much like Lord – a true sire of jumping horses, not only as a sire, but also as a dam’s sire. Emilion’s own performances are impressive. Guided by rider, Ulrich Kirchhoff, he won the World Cup of Mill Street, and placed in the following Grand Prix: 2nd in Donaueschingen, 4th in Valkenswaard, 5th in London and 6th in the World Cup at Aarhus. With the German team, he was 4th in Dublin and Rotterdam, and 2nd in Bremen.
As a sire, Emilion belongs to the world’s best jumping horse producers. His offspring are performing worldwide in Grand Prix and World Cup classes. Seldana is currently most famous. This top performance mare, ridden by Abdullah Al Sharbatly, won the Silver Medal at the World Championships in Kentucky. She also was Silver Medallist at the European Championships in 2009, while a part of the Italian Team. Equally famous is Emilion’s son Glasgow, who competed for years at the highest International level, won several World Cups and Grand Prix – the CN Reliability Grand Prix of Canada three times, and was crowned the ‘USA Horse of the Year’. Another son, VDL Groep Tomboy won several Grand Prix and World Cup Qualifiers with E. van der Vleuten and VDL Emmerton was the Dutch Showjumping Champion in 2008. Disaronno VT participated at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy 2014 and Wilhelmus S was successful in the United States, ridden by Laura Kraut. Bilion was Champion of the seven year old show jumpers of the American East Coast League and had achieved that same result as a five and six year old.

More famous offspring by Emilion are: VDL Edminton, Eros H, VDL Empire, Enorm, Exclusive, Fritzy, Inspiration, Jashar, Jemilion, Karina, VDL Lotus Exel, VDL Nantes, Made in Margot, Miss Montana, Ponita, VDL Sarantos, Salermo, Sefana, Sering, VDL Ugano, Ukinda, Utopia van het Hoogveld, Valdato, Nancy B, Warrior, Whiskey Mac IV, Winnipeg, Zemilion, VDL Groep Zorro, et cetera. Galoma gained the top score of 82,5 point at the IBOP-test and Ersinaa achieved a top socre of 84 points at the IBOP in 2013.

Based on the fantastic performances of his direct offspring and his great achievements as dam’s sire Emilion was awarded with the predicate Preferent at the age of 28.

The KWPN stallions: Chance (Heartbreaker) and It’s a Dream (Toulon) as well as International show jumper Brooklynn (Padinus) are products of her mareline.

Pepita’s offspring are performing well in sport her Indoctro sons Beam P Ster, IBOP (Jumping) and Doctrino P have excellent results at 1.35m.

Dam, Haroom T, is a Ster, Prestatie KWPN mare by the Holsteiner stallion Larome. Prior to starting her breeding career Haroom competed successfully in both dressage and jumping. Haroom has produced numerous top show jumpers including the full sibling to Pepita KWPN approved stallion and 1.6m jumper VDL Sarantos.

Sarantos received the following scores during his KWPN stallion testing: 8 for canter, 8 for jumping take-off and technique, 9 for scope and 8.5 for his talent for jumping.
He is the winner of the Stallion competition of Zuidbroek, Promising Young Stallion in Zwolle and was 3rd in the Stallion competition of Hengelo.
In 2006, at the KWPN Stallion competition Sarantos was the overall Z level champion and the winner of the KWPN stallion competition.

Haroom’s sire Larome is a son of the legendary Landgraf I by Ladykiller xx is a top source of all-round competition talent in the Holstein breed. He has over 30 offspring currently jumping at top International level including: Libero H, Taggi, Major Wager and is the sire of the international dressage horse Lugano 140. His total progeny winnings to date are over 2.5 million. Larome’s offspring are known for their brilliant type and very special movement who excel in show jumping. He has many sons approved for breeding.

Peptia’s grand-dam, Arfarnmira, is a Ster Sport (Jumping) mare who competed at the highest levels of the sport. Arfarnmira is by the prolific Preferent stallion G. Ramrio Z who is without question one of the most influential jumper and dressage sires in the world. G. Ramiro Z was champion of his stallion test in 1969, was awarded the title of “Horse of the Year” in 1992 and has through the success of this offspring earned the tag of “Euro-Stallion”. He sired the approved sons: Almiro, Bernstein, Dageraad, Damiro, Elmero, and Zeoliet. One of his most famous offspring is the superstar show jumper Ratina Z who won both gold and silver medals at the Barcelona Olympics as well as the Volvo World Cup and many Grand Prix victories. Raimro is also the sire of the 2004 Athens Olympic Medalist Royal Kaliber, and is grandsire to Athens Olympics super stars Montender and Butterfly Flip. G. Ramiro Z has sired hundreds more offspring competing and winning all over the world.
