Ster, Star, or Model Stallions, Mares or Geldings
Awarded to approximately the top 30% of Mares & Geldings 3 years and older presented at keurings based on evaluation of free movement, conformation and optional free jumping. Stallions must be of especially high quality. The Star predicate does not indicate any kind of approval or licensing for a stallion.
Keur for Dutch Mares
Star mares that have passed a higher evaluation of conformation and movement in hand AND have received above 70 points on the IBOP riding test 40 points in either dressage or jumping. The mares may also complete the performance test in sport by achieving 1 score above 60% at Level 4 Test 1 (or Z + 1 point in the Netherlands) OR Jumping: 2 clear rounds over courses at least 4’6” in height (130 cm in the Netherlands) or Hunter: 2 wins in Open Hunter Division at AA or AAA shows or Combined training: Preliminary Level with a score of not more than 72.5 penalty points at two competitions.
Provisional Keur
The mare has been approved for Keur status for conformation and movement, but has not completed the Performance part of the requirement (IBOP or Sport).
Keur for Stallions
This prestigious predicate for stallions is awarded by the KWPN stallion commission indicating that the stallion is at least 7 years old and must have an index above 140 with 85% reliability and offspring performing at the GP level.
Sport
A predicate awarded to mares who compete successfully - 1 dressage score of 60% or better at Level 4 Test 2 OR 5 clear jumping rounds at least 4’6” in height (130cm in the Netherlands) OR 5 combined training events at preliminary level with a score of not more than 72.5 penalty points.
Elite
Keur mares which have passed the same veterinary x-ray exam required of KWPN stallions
Preferent for Mares
A predicate indicating a good producing mare awarded to any foalbook, studbook, auxiliary foalbook, auxiliary studbook, or thoroughbred mare which has produced three WPN foalbook registered offspring designated as Star (mares) or Star Quality (stallions and geldings), second ring stallion or approved stallion.
Preferent for Stallions
Awarded by the KWPN stallion committee to Keur Stallions that have achieved their own breeding line with approved sons.
Prestatie
A predicate given to any foalbook, studbook, auxiliary foalbook, auxiliary studbook, or thoroughbred mare which has produced three KWPN offspring which have achieved the equivalent of M + 5 sport levels in dressage (2nd/3rd), jumping (4'3") or 3-day event.
Crown
A performance predicate awarded to stallions, mares and geldings competing on an international level. To be considered, horses must be individually listed in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (200 top-ranked dressage horses and 400 top-ranked jumping horses).
PROK
The new PROK (Project Radiographical Research KWPN Mares) predicate designates a studbook or star mare who has successfully completed radiographic requirements required of KWPN stallions.
IBOP/EPTM
Studbook or star mares successfully completing an IBOP or stationary performance (in Holland) test. Must have received above 70 points on the IBOP riding test 40 points in either dressage or jumping.
