Glenfiddich is the only approved son of jumping phenomenon Bacardi VDL.
This Corland x Kannan son won the silver medal at the World Championships for seven years old jumpers with Jos Lansink in Lanaken 2013. He was impressive with his clear rounds and spectacular jumps. After the World Championship he was sold to the top Swiss rider Janika Sprunger. Also in the pedigree of Glenfiddich we find Corrado I, Nimmerdor and Jalisco B who round out this exceptional pedigree. They jumped at the highest level and produced numerous show jumpers for the highest level. Among them Corradina, Heartbreaker and Quidam de Revel.
Glenfiddich finds his origins in one of France’s best dam lines. From this comes, among others, the Olympic stallion Papillon Rouge – he being the full-brother to Glenfiddich’s great-granddam Olivia Rouge. Also dam Tolivia was awarded ‘Elite’ and ‘Prestatie’ and granddam Nolivia is ‘Keur’ and ‘Preferent’, producing the 1.45m show jumper Volivia VDL. Several famous horses from this damline are Bleu Blanc Rouge, Saphin Rouge, Quartz Rouge, etc.
Lineage & Progeny
Glenfiddich is a well-developed stallion with unlimited scope, a great technique and a lot of jumping intelligence. He canters with a great deal of power and did a good KWPN Stallion Test. In total he scored 79 points, to include a 8.5 for his scope. For canter, rideability and mentality and talent as a jumper he scored an 8.
